INSTITUE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ( IMC ) UNDER
PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTERNERSHIP (PPP)
IMC is an effort of Indian Govt. to speed up the process of development of Govt. Institute in accordance with changing Industry need. It’s a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project in which Industry will upgrade the institute by providing technical knowhow, training the students as well as instructors at their premises & in the institute. In nut shell students will be moulded to be absorbed in the industry usefully after passing out. Carrying forward this scheme, TATA MOTORS has joined as main industry partner along with Castrol India, WABCO & Trent.
Aims & Objectives of IMC:
- The main aim of the society is to assist in improvement of standard of vocational training and skill development in the country as a whole.
- The society has been formed with the specific aim of upgardation of the Industrial Training Institute ITI Jahangir Puri, K Block, Delhi 110033 in to a centre of excellence in such a way that the training provided in the ITI is improved and becomes demand driven leading to better employability of the passing out graduates.
- In general the society shall function on “no profit no loss” principle. However its affairs shall be managed in such a way that it becomes self supporting in due course and is able to meet all its expenses and liabilities on its own.
A MoU was signed on 6th August 2010 in between I.T.I. Jahangir Puri, Delhi with M/s TATA MOTORS Ltd. Under “PPP” mode.
In this mode total 1396 ITI’s is from all over India were selected and in Delhi ITI Jahangir Puri is one of them. Through this MoU, Motor Mechanic Trade is upgraded/uplifted whereas rest of the trades will be upgraded/uplifted in the phase manner.
Now the workshop of Motor Mechanic Trade in this Institute is one the most modern workshop in India with latest technology. It has the facilities for smart class room with audio-visual training, e-learning and exclusive library.
The workshop of motor mechanic has equipped with latest automobile aggregates/fixtures/equipments/vehicles. This includes cut sections and complete assemblies of CNG Engine; Motorized cut section of engines and latest transmission assemblies. This workshop has the facilities for training on ENGINE MANAGEMNET SYSTEM BS-III & BS-IV and have latest live working module of 1613 CNG BS-IV, for driving practice in the training is conducted on latest Driving Stimulator installed in the workshop
The guest faculties from Tata Motors Ltd. were also come on regular intervals to nurture the trainees with different types of skills demanded by the industries these days.

A new trade / section of “Computer Operator & Programming Assistant” is also started in 2015-16.

DTTE - JAQUAR COME TOGETHER
DTTE has added another leading Industry player into its proud list of partners to provide quality training to the trainees of ITI Jahangir Puri in Plumber Trade. In this regard an MoU was signed between DTTE(for and on-behalf of ITI Jahangir Puri) and Jaquar Foundation (A unit of Jaquar & Company Pvt. Ltd.). DTTE Director Manoj Kumar signed the MoU with the Jaquar Foundation Head CSR Kanwar Shamsher in presence of representatives from both the organizations. A high tech Lab will be setup through PPP mode under skill development initiatives in the field of plumbing and sanitation. Initially, 40 students from ITIT Jahangir Puri of the Plumber Trade will be benefited from this collaboration.
